Leaf on Loaf: A Summer popup with Sarah Owens and Hetty McKinnon

Leaf on Loaf is the ultimate way to eat this Summer: beautifully baked bread, topped with seasonal vegetables. Join chef and baker Sarah Owens and Australian salad-maker Hetty McKinnon for a very special family-style brunch in the Rockaways, featuring Sarah’s signature naturally leavened bread, topped with Hetty’s hearty vegetables. These will be salad sandwiches, as you’ve never tasted before. The dishes are inspired by Hetty’s new salad cookbook Neighborhood and Sarah’s upcoming book Toast and Jam. Ticket price includes a specially curated beverage by Brooklyn sommelier Summit Street.

 

Please note: The brunch will be 100% vegetarian. Nuts, eggs, and dairy may be included. No refunds.

We invite you to join us for an intimate family style, communal dinner to celebrate the release of the new cookbook Neighborhood. The dinner will be taking place in, 7115 designer, Szeki Chan’s Lower East Side home with Hetty McKinnon as our guest of honor. 

Hetty and Szeki will be cooking up a three-course feast of dishes from Hetty's new cookbook Neighborhood, including her signature bold, vibrant and flavor-packed plant-based salads. The Neighborhood dinner is a celebration of community and the connections that are forged through sharing good food and good conversation.

Tickets are $92 (tax included) per person. The ticket price includes all food plus wine/non-alcoholic beverages. All dinner guests will receive a signed copy of Neighborhood and a Neighborhood x 7115 candle, hand-poured in New York City.

Welcome to the Roots is a long table communal lunch, inspired by Fall’s beautiful bounty of root vegetables. Plant-based cook Hetty McKinnon has created a special seasonal menu featuring her favorite root vegetables, welcoming beetroot, carrot, celery root, turnip, fennel, and sweet potato to the plate, presented in Arthur Street Kitchen’s bold, flavor-packed, intensely tasty way.

This will be a family style 6 course gathering, with a 100% vegetarian menu. The ticket price includes all food plus wine/non-alcoholic beverages.

This lunch is part of Arthur Street Kitchen's Neighborhood Pop-Up Series, where we celebrate community and the special connection that occurs when people, strangers and friends alike, bond over food. We hope to share food and conversation with you soon.
