Our salads

1. How fresh are the salads

The salads are made fresh daily.

2. What if I'm allergic to nuts?

Our salads are produced in kitchens where nuts are used. Many of our salads contain nuts or nut products so we can not guarantee that your salad is nut-free.

3. What if I don't like the salad flavor?

This is a membership for lovers of salads. We understand that you will love some salads more than others, but at this time, we only one salad option per delivery day. We cannot cater to specific likes and dislikes. At the same time, we definitely encourage you to give in and try everything! Part of the joy of belonging to this salad club is the opportunity to discover. You never know, you may uncover a vegetable, grain, herb, flavor or texture that you didn't know you loved.

4. How long can the salads be kept?

We recommend you eat the salads as soon as possible, on the day of delivery. However, many of our salads keep very well in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Use your discretion to determine whether the salad is past it's prime!

5. Should I eat my salad at room temperature or cold?

Almost always, salads should be consumed at room temperature. This is one of my top rules in salad-eating! When salads are cold, you lose the flavor and texture that the salad-maker intended. Let them sit at room temperature for 30-60 mins for optimum flavor and enjoyment!

The exception to this 'room temperature rule' may be noodle salads, particularly soba noodles which I find particularly enjoyable cold.

Delivery

1. What is your delivery zone?

For our current delivery zone, click here.

2. When will I receive my first delivery?

You will receive your first subscription salad the first Tuesday after your subscribe. This will be reflected in the recurring billing when you become a member, which will take your first payment on the first Tuesday after you subscribe.

3. What time do you deliver?

Usually we will deliver the salads between 12pm-1.30pm. Due to the vagaries of traffic and circumstance, we cannot provide exact delivery times.

4. Can you leave my delivery with a neighbor or friend?

Yes absolutely. If you will not be home at the time or day of delivery, please let us know the name and exact address (apt number and street address) of the location where you would like your salad left. It is our recommendation that all salads are stored in the refrigerator.

5. Do you operate all year?

We envision at this stage that our subscription service will be a seasonal operation. For example, we will close during most of Summer and Winter. There may be also be some odd days here and there when the subscription will not operate.
